Two campers work on programming in STEM camp

Specialty Camps

We help children dig deeper into their favorite subjects

Belmont Day’s Specialty Camps offer topic-specific programs that run during our pre- and post-camp weeks, as well as concurrently with the general sessions of our day camp. These programs mix the fun vibe and community of day camp with more specialized activities that focus on a dedicated topic. Specialty camps during the general session include a swim lesson and free swim daily. Pre- and post-camp weeks do not include swim lessons.

Each specialty camp has a program lead who is responsible for the development and implementation of the program. We work alongside these educators during the off-season to create camp programming that is new and innovative each year.

Our specialty camps fall into one or more of these categories:

  • STEM camps focus on activities like programmable robots, LEGO engineering, and building with recycled materials
  • Art camps focus on learning and creativity by exploring forms and media or engaging with a topic through art-related activities
  • Nature camps focus on discovering more about the natural world through games, activities, and hands-on exploration
