Eighth grader Nikos Axiotis, a veteran on the wrestling team, was on his back, down by one point, with under 10 seconds left in his match. With his hopes of a win ticking away, Nikos executed a perfect two-point reversal as time expired and emerged with a huge win over one of Milton’s best wrestlers.

The varsity basketball teams opened up the winter season on Thursday with a pair of games against Park. The boys came out of the gates slow, yielding four straight buckets to open the game, and trailed at the half by over 20. The girls flipped the script and jumped out fast, taking a commanding 12-point lead into the break.

Among the hundreds of runners from across the state, the Blue & Gold were easy to spot thanks to their bright gold jerseys, vocal support of their teammates, and strong finishes across all races.
