Faculty Attend Student Leadership Workshop

July 11, 2024

In late June music teacher Kassie Bettinelli and Latin teacher Nicole Buck traveled to Colorado Springs to attend The Gardner Carney Leadership Institute at the Fountain Valley School.

The six-day intensive workshop helps K-12 teachers and administrators learn how to develop the leadership competencies of their students. Ms. Bettinelli, Ms. Buck, and their classmates learned about the latest research on brain science, social and emotional intelligence, and group dynamics. Exercises throughout the week challenged participants to develop their awareness, reflection, and strategies for building students’ leadership skills.

Ms. Bettinelli and Ms. Buck look forward to sharing and activating what they learned during the new school year!
