Annual Fund

At Belmont Day, we are steadfast in our mission to inspire and challenge each student, fostering an inclusive environment grounded in our six core values: respect, honesty, responsibility, caring, joy, and excellence. Our families, faculty, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, and friends are all vital to the vibrancy of our school. Together, we create a strong, connected community where each person plays a unique and essential role in what we achieve collectively.

We invite our community to prioritize the 2024-25 Belmont Day Annual Fund this year. The annual fund consists of unrestricted gifts given every academic year and is a cornerstone of our financial stability. It directly advances the education and growth of our 339 engaged learners and future leaders and enables the school to reach new levels of excellence and distinction.

Contributions to the annual fund significantly enrich every aspect of the student experience and make a tangible difference in their lives. The largest item supported is faculty compensation, including professional development. In addition, the annual fund provides funds for other needs such as new technology, financial assistance, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and new curricula.

The school relies on gifts of all sizes to bridge the gap between what tuition covers and the cost of a Belmont Day education. Your support will help us reach our ambitious goal of raising $1,016,400 by June 30, 2025 – the highest fundraising target in our school’s history.

Last academic year, 95% of current parents participated in the annual fund. Additionally, 100% of Belmont Day’s dedicated board of trustees and faculty have participated in the annual fund for over twelve consecutive years.

Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to Belmont Day. We look forward to achieving remarkable things together this year.

Eighth Grade Legacy Gift

The Eighth Grade Legacy Gift is a tradition that provides a meaningful way for eighth grade families to honor their time at Belmont Day. Over the years, many have chosen to make a legacy gift to share their appreciation for their children’s unparalleled education and experience at Belmont Day. This gift also allows our eighth graders to learn about the importance of philanthropy and giving back.

Traditionally, our eighth grade families have worked together to decide what the class would support, and in 2019, we created a formal voting process for families to choose the designation.

Parents of the Class of 2024 raised funds to support the Class of 2024 Wellness Center, which will be part of a future capital project in the Downing Gym.

The Class of 2023 allocated their legacy gift to support community spaces, which ultimately helped to fund our Campus Vision Plan.

The Class of 2022 designated their gift towards faculty excellence and professional development.

Other legacy gifts have supported financial assistance, the Claflin Field scoreboard, and air conditioning in the Kiva.

This is an opportunity to support Belmont Day and double the impact—supporting the annual fund and the Eighth Grade Legacy Gift. We ask eighth grade families to prioritize Belmont Day and make their most meaningful gift yet as they fondly recall their child’s years at Belmont Day and look to leave a lasting legacy for future Belmont Day students.
