Three Thoughts:

If I could give a child one quality it would be … It is really challenging to pick just one! Given the current pediatric mental health landscape, I might prioritize resilience. Kindness and integrity are also high on my list.

My favorite children’s book or author … I devoured all of Beverly Cleary’s Beezus and Ramona books as a child, and have enjoyed reading them with my daughter as she grows up.

If you could have dinner with anyone, I would invite … Lin-Manual Miranda! In addition to being a big Hamilton fan (I’ve seen it three times and counting), we share our ethnicity and would have visited Puerto Rico during overlapping time periods while growing up. I would love to compare notes on how his bicultural upbringing influenced him, both as an artist and as a person.
